Three people were seriously burned on a restaurant terrace in the city center of Cannes this Wednesday evening. They were transported to Toulon. Two others, more lightly affected, are also among the victims.

This Wednesday, November 27, around 9:45 p.m., the emergency services intervened for what at this time is described by the firefighters as “burning on public roads.
In the city center, at 49 cours Félix Faure, they intervened for several people burned by ethanol heating, France 3 Côte d'Azur learned.
Five victims are to be deplored according to the communications service of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS06). All are burned to varying degrees. A 35-year-old woman, a 30-year-old man and a third 56-year-old were seriously affected.

The woman was hit in the face. Around 10:45 p.m., his transport by helicopter as well as that of the 56-year-old man was organized via Cannes-Mandelieu aerodrome.
PFor the 30-year-old man, the transfer took place by ambulance. The three people were transported toSainte-Anne Army Instruction Hospital (HNIA) in Toulon, specialized in monitoring burn victims.

Two other victims, men aged 56 and 54, were slightly injured and were treated by firefighters and transported to Simone Veil hospital in Cannes.
It was heating on the terrace which was the cause of the incident this Wednesday evening.

According to a witness contacted by France 3, the terrace was evacuated, a security perimeter was established, “glass is on the ground.”
The circumstances of this accident are not known.
The restaurant in question is located in the heart of the city on a busy thoroughfare with numerous terraces.
Eight engines and 22 firefighters from the SDIS, SAMU 06, SMUR, municipal police and Civil Protection services were deployed on site.
