at the FN trial, final argument for a presidential candidate

HEARING REPORT – Marine Le Pen's lawyer sought above all to avoid the risk of provisional execution of a possible sentence of ineligibility.

Law classes, in court, are often boring. But when the teacher knows how to do it, he can create a surprise. By defending Marine Le Pen on Wednesday, on the last day of the so-called “FN parliamentary assistants” trial, Me Rodolphe Bosselut knew how to draw the audience behind him – at least in the first part of a three-hour speech.

According to him, the party and its MEPs are wrongly accused of having defrauded by having the European Parliament pay, from 2004 to 2016, parliamentary assistants who, in reality, only worked for the far-right movement: « The practice was banal, harmless because shared by all the parties who could not claim to constitute a group »due to lack of sufficient troops.
