A week ago, an OL delegation supervised by Johann Louvel returned from its first mission of the season in Dakar. A second will be held in the new year to continue the development of the collaboration between the Lyon club and the Dakar Sacré-Cœur.
Between theOL and the Dakar Sacré-Cœurit’s a story that lasts. The partnership signed between the two entities saw the light of day in 2015 and was extended until 2025. Many players have taken advantage of this relationship to arrive between Rhône and Saône, even if it is not yet a sporting success. None have broken through to the professionals and Fallou Fall or Pierre-Antoine Dorival will perhaps be the first to achieve this.
In the meantime, the two clubs continue their exchanges and trips to Senegal as numerous as ever. During the last two seasons, an introductory trip was organized with the OL U16s, but it is above all the trainers who go to Dakar. Recently, as we wrote, Johann Louveldirector of the Academy, went to Africa for the first mission of the season.
An initiatory journey over the last two seasons
There were three in 2023-2024 and there will be at least two in 2024-2025. After the four days in mid-November based on video analysis and defensive individualization in particular, an OL delegation will once again head to the Senegalese capital for a second mission. The latter will be held at the end of January 2025 and must “to build on the progress made and further strengthen this historic partnership”.
