This is a new unusual action to make their anger heard: this Wednesday, November 27, 2024, farmers from the FNSEA and Young Farmers dismantled radars in four towns in Eure. The objective: to submit them to the Departmental Directorate of Territories (DDTM) in Évreux.

Four convoys of tractors, four towns in Eure: Montfort-sur-Risle, Courbépine, Damville and Les Andelys… And four strange objects transported this morning!
Farmers from the FNSEA (National Federation of Farmers' Unions) and Young Farmers of Eure dismantled… construction site radars!
On the night of November 15 to 16, farmers had already neutralized several radars. This time, they decided to protest against abusive administrative controls by taking four of them, directly in front of the Departmental Directorate of Territories of Eure, located in Evreux.
The meeting is set for 12 p.m.
On site, the operators, equipped with straps, took care not to break anything. In Montfort-sur-Risle, the radar dismantling operation, carried out by around ten farmers, lasted almost half an hour. Two bikers from the national gendarmerie ensured the safety of the convoy, without preventing it from carrying out this strange mission.
The national operation is called “Administration Control”. The message transmitted is clear and the object chosen is symbolic: the farmers feel spied on, and thus intend to show that they too can play supervisors.
Throughout France, numerous actions are being carried out by farmers opposed to the proposed free trade treaty between the European Union and Mercosur. Yesterday, for example, they met in Rouen, in front of the water agency. They called for a “simplification and lifting of constraints“.
Spreading straw and earth in front of the agency, they denounced “measures that are too restrictive and incomprehensible“for farmers, set up by the institution, also pointing out”an impossible dialogue” with the agents.
Next operations in Normandy: checks of the central kitchens of Granville, Saint-Lô and Cherbourg (Manche) this afternoon, a “watercourse” action in Orne this Wednesday and other mobilizations Thursday and Friday in the Calvados.
