Farmers take out tractors to demonstrate in Loire-Atlantique and Vendée

As in many places in France, tractors are out in Loire-Atlantique and Vendée. Farmers demonstrate this Monday morning at the call of the FNSEA and Young Farmers. They are in the city center of Nantes and are going to the prefecture. In Vendée, they met in front of the Departmental Directorate of Territories and the Sea (DDTM) in La Roche-sur-Yon. There are around 75 farmers mobilized in Nantes. Some of them must be received at the prefecture at 12:30 p.m.

The agricultural world is calling in particular for a simplification of administrative procedures, better remuneration and more recognition. They also denounce the possible free trade treaty with Mercosur. Subjects already claimed during the big mobilizations of farmers, end of 2023-beginning of 2024.

Exit tractors in Nantes and La Roche-sur-Yon

Farmers from Loire-Atlantique and Vendée traveled with their tractors to Nantes and La Roche-sur-Yon. On the signs and banners, we can read “The land is plowed with know-how, not with a computer”, “JA 44: little ones, we dream of it, adults, we die” or even “Feed, not die” .
