This forty-year-old lacked reasoning when he presented himself to the gendarmerieAumale (Seine-Maritime) to resolve a problem concerning his father.

Having seen him arrive at the wheel of his car, the soldiers quickly realized that he was not in his normal state.

Suspended driving license

The blood alcohol test to which they subjected him confirmed it: he had a level of 1.10 milligrams of alcohol per liter of exhaled air is more than four times the authorized limit.

He will explain to the police that if he uses drugs, it is to relieve his worries and think of something else. His license was of course immediately suspended administratively and this is the explanation his lawyer will give to justify his absence at the court hearing where he was to be tried.

The Deputy Prosecutor wants the message to get across:

Monsieur must understand that alcohol does not erase your worries and that when you have been drinking you do not get behind the wheel.

He requires a suspended prison sentence of 3 months, the cancellation of his driving license and a ban on driving a vehicle not equipped with an alcohol-related immobilizer for 6 months.
