young people from Indre met the Pope

The general assembly of the Catholic Children's Action (ACE) of Indre brought together around forty people, Sunday November 17, in Nuret-le-Ferron. This association brings together children aged 6 to 15 throughout , within clubs, supervised by adults, Perlin, Fripounet or Triolo. The Indre department has five clubs. At ACE, young people experience a life based on human and Christian values, open to discussion and their projects which allows them to build themselves and become actors and citizens.

A meeting with the Pope

The children of the Nuret-le-Ferron – La Pérouille club presented their stay this summer in Magdeburg (Germany) at the Kinderstadt (children's city): with 400 children from all over Europe, for a week they were able to build and design their own city, define their own rules and learn about decision-making and democracy.

Also in July, the summer camps organized by the ACE departmental team were a great success in Cuzion: 85 children in three camps depending on their age. During the 2023-2024 season, three children in a club in Villedieu-sur-Indre met Pope Francis at the Vatican during the event “I bambini incontrano il papa” (children meet the Pope). In the plans for next year, a regional meeting is planned at the beginning of 2025 in , it will be dedicated to a major debate for 6-15 year olds.
