Archers from Haut-Marne took part, on Sunday, November 24, in 2 x 18 meter indoor competitions, qualifying for the French championship, in Ligny-en-Barrois (Meuse), Bar-sur-Seine (Aube) and Fismes ( Marl).
It was in Ligny-en-Barrois, during a competition organized by Les Flèches barisiennes and bringing together 66 archers, that the Haut-Marne contingent was best represented. The SLO Bettancourt particularly distinguished itself by winning ten medals. Among the young people, Léane Broutin (U13), Chloé Marcher (U15) and Elisa France (U21) obtained the silver medal. In U15 boys, Mouhammad Bettahar won with 478 points, eleven points ahead of his teammate Esteban Myaux. In U18, there too the Bettancourtois club scored a double with gold for Nathan Bouveret and silver for Maxime Block. On the adult side, Giulia Vallelian won the silver medal in senior “1” recurve. Among the men, Wilfried De Lat and Baptiste Launois finished seventh and ninth respectively. In seniors “2”, Malika Bettahar took third place. Among the men, Maxime Broutin placed sixth. In the senior “1” category, Adrien Schneider took first place with 547 points, five ahead of his pursuer Jean Dougé (Ligny-en-Barrois). In senior “3” compound archery, Eclaronnais Jacky Soudant won with 545 points, only three points ahead of André Regnier (Ligny-en-Barrois). In the adult men's barebow category, Denis Yochum (La Flèche bragarde) won, quite far ahead of Arnaud Mazzaluppi (Bouligny).
In Bar-sur-Seine, where 78 archers were competing, Chaumontais Maé Andreotti (438 points) and Gaël Jeanniot (529 points) respectively won in U18 and senior “1” recurve arches. In this last category, their club mate Maxime Michelin finished eighth. In seniors “3”, Dominique Bodson (Chaumont) finished in fifth place. The third Chaumontese medal of the day was collected by Claude Dobbelaere, in silver, in adult men's barebow. Finally, in Fismes, where 146 archers were present, Eclaronnaise Florence Masson won bronze in senior “3” recurve bow. His comrade Xavier Masson took sixth place in senior “2” compound bow and thirteenth in adult men’s bare bow.
