The criminal court of Libourne (Gironde) recently found a 34-year-old man guilty of “aggravated violence and death threats” against his ex-girlfriend and sentenced him to two years in prison, including six months suspended. After his girlfriend, with whom he had been in a relationship for a month, had announced to him that she was ending the relationship, the defendant hit her, got into his car and mowed down the young woman, who received a 60-day ITT. The accused took her to the hospital, where he forced her to tell the caregivers that she had fallen from her scooter.
