The members of the Martinvast Festivities office met the Saturday November 23, 2024 in the workshop room to prepare the 4^e edition of the Ave racentwalking races on a floodlit circuit in the town of Martinvast (Manche), scheduled December 14.

As since their creation, the circuits are broken down into several categories: children's and teen races (6 p.m.), elite men's and women's races with ranking (6:30 p.m.) and the popular race (7 p.m.).

Record to beat

Every year, the number of runners increasese last year, there were 250 people taking part in this race, including 120 in the popular race.

THE organizers still hope break a recordthis year with rewarded races for the elites and a prize offered to each participant: chocolate Santa Claus, tangerine and hot chocolate for the childrencider and cakes for adults . The atmosphere is always festive and friendly, runners are invited to come in disguise.

Race details

• Awakening (born in 2016 and after): 620 m, departure 6 p.m.;
• Chicks (born in 2014 and 2015): 1,200 m, start 6 p.m.;
• Benjamins (born in 2012 and 2013): 2,000 m, start 6:15 p.m.;
• Minimes (born in 2010 and 2011): 2,600 m, start 6:15 p.m.;
• Elite men and women: 6,400 m, start 6:30 p.m.;
• Popular: 5,400 m, departure 7 p.m.

Inscriptionfixed to €6 until December 13 then €8 on site from 4:30 p.m. on December 14. Free for children and teenagers . Removal of bibson Saturday, December 14 from 4:30 p.m. in the town hall hall . For the participants and visitors, there will be on site a refreshment baret a pancake sale.
