Reassuring tests

As a precaution, the 142 schoolchildren were evacuated to the establishment's playground. The emergency services carried out tests on the network and any risk was averted around 1:30 p.m. The situation was restored shortly before midday, the meal having been organized in another room.

The first magistrate of the Ripagerian city, Vincent Bony, was also on the scene. In particular, he was able to reassure the parents of students who were worried about seeing the important emergency system deployed in front of the school.

According to information provided by the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service, “four adults and five children were slightly poisoned and transported to the hospitals of Saint-Étienne and Saint-Chamond”.

According to information collected on site, these transfers to healthcare establishments were carried out mainly as a precaution. Classes will normally resume early in the afternoon.

A national police crew and Samu doctors also provided active support during the intervention.
