In Longjumeau, the city of La Rocade extends its large building blocks over several hundred meters. It was here, in the basement of one of the residences, that a barely believable scene took place on Sunday evening. A 19-year-old young woman, who she said was kidnapped and raped in a cellar, was released by the national police on November 24 at the end of the day. An investigation has been opened and a suspect is being sought.
Everything happened in the early evening, around 8 p.m., in a building in this working-class neighborhood. The police received an alert: screams were coming from a cellar of the residence. The agents go to the site, go down to the basement, progress through the corridors. It was at this moment that they heard a woman's cries of distress.
Guided by these cries, the police arrived in front of an iron door. The agents open the door with a crowbar and discover a new corridor made up of several rooms, in which the victim is discovered, a young woman of 19 years old trapped. She was on a mattress on the floor when the officers intervened.
The victim then told officials that she had been kidnapped by a man armed with a knife. This person, met on a social network, would have previously lured him into this cellar before imposing a sexual relationship on him, according to his statements, and fleeing, abandoning him in this small and locked space. It is unknown how long the victim had been in the cellar.
Just after her first statements, the young woman was transported by firefighters to the CHSF (Sud-Francilien Hospital Center), where she underwent medical examinations. An investigation into “rape” and “kidnapping” was opened on Sunday evening at the Palaiseau police station. The suspect, whose age was not communicated, was still wanted by the police on Monday. When asked, the Évry-Courcouronnes public prosecutor's office indicated that it “does not wish to express itself regarding an ongoing case”.
