Taza – The Taza Provincial Council adopted, during an extraordinary session held on Monday, several partnership agreements of a social, cultural and development nature.
During this session, chaired by Abdelilah Baaziz, president of the council, in the presence of the governor of the province of Taza Mustapha El Maaza, the members of the Council approved a draft partnership agreement for the acquisition of the land which will host the project construction of a student house (Dar Talib) in Rbaa El Fouki.
This agreement aims to establish a framework of cooperation and partnership between the Council and the Provincial Delegation of National Mutual Aid in Taza, within the framework of a partnership between the Agency for the Promotion and Economic and Social Development of the prefectures and provinces of the North of the Kingdom (APDN), the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) and the Municipality of Rbaa El Fouki.
The Council also approved a partnership agreement with the Municipal Council of Oued Amlil and the High Commission of former resistance fighters and members of the liberation army, concerning the rehabilitation and restoration of the headquarters which will house the historical memory space resistance and members of the Liberation Army in Oued Amlil.
The total cost of this project is 600,000 dirhams, financed by the Provincial Council of Taza and the Municipality of Oued Amlil.
Furthermore, a partnership agreement was approved between the Provincial Council and the Provincial Development Corporation, in order to make logistical means available to the company for the implementation of projects related to the construction and maintenance of roads in the different municipalities of the province.
A partnership agreement between the Provincial Council of Taza and the commune of Sidi Ali Bourguiba for the construction and maintenance of rural roads was also approved.
On the cultural level, the members of the council adopted a partnership agreement between the provincial council and the National Agency for Public Facilities (ANEP) for the monitoring and control of the construction work of the Taza cultural complex.
This session saw the presentation of a presentation by the Sebou Hydraulic Basin Agency on ways to minimize the risk of flooding in the province.
In this regard, the Agency affirmed that protection projects for 12 centers in the province will be carried out for a total cost of approximately 333 million dirhams.
The Council also examined and approved the draft provincial budget for the year 2025.
