With 537,000 visitors in 2024, the Padirac chasm record a new attendance record. The tourist site of Lot remains the first most visited natural site in France.
86% French visitors to the Gouffre de Padirac
The Gouffre de Padirac concludes this 2024 season with an attendance record of 537,000 visitors (+ 2.6% vs. 2023), thus confirming its status as the leading natural site in France and strengthening its influence on a European scale.
This year 2024, the Gouffre de Padirac has captivated an even larger audience: nearly 537,000 visitors, whether families, friends, couples or school groups, have explored the fascinating depths of this essential site of the Dordogne Valley (i.e. + 2.6% vs. 2023). If the majority of the clientele is made up of French visitors (86%), European customers also experienced notable growth (+2%).with a marked presence of Spaniardswhose tours focus primarily on seasonal wings.
Online booking is also gaining momentum with an increase of +3.5%.
2025 projects
The year 2025 will immerse visitors in the era of the first explorations and the first visits to the site.
The success of the 2024 immersive show has reinforced the desire of Gouffre de Padirac to repeat the experience. The cavity will once again be transformed into a theatrical playground in May 2025.
THE Explorer Evenings will also see their format evolve for greater immersion and drama thanks to guides in period costumes, who will offer visitors the opportunity to discover the Chasm as it was at the end of the 19th century.e century.
Finally, the Story Hoursled by the boatman guides, will make their comeback during the All Saints' Day holidays, allowing families to experience the most beautiful legends linked to the Gouffre de Padirac.
