Séverine Magnez has lived in an apartment on two levels in the center of Langon since 2018, with five electric radiators whose consumption cost her around 1,200 euros per year. “I received an email from the mayor praising the Voltalis boxes that I had installed… But which took me a while to use, I admit! » For several weeks, she has been managing the remote management (or not) of her convectors with the digital application, and is already seeing the difference on her digital “dashboard”, displaying her consumption in kWh… and in euros. “Programming and management are easy,” she says.
Five communities of municipalities in South Gironde have supported the deployment of this company created in 2006 since 2023, and whose solution is endorsed and supported by RTE, national electricity transmission manager. Support which allows Voltalis, which also benefits from the support of the National Environment Agency, to offer free installation and operation to users. More than 1,250 homes are now equipped in the sector, and it is the turn of the territorial center Cœur Entre-deux-Mers to promote the boxes in its territory of 40 municipalities ranging from Langoiran to Saint-Loubès (1).
Regulations
One per radiator, brought together by a thermostat and easy digital monitoring: 14,000 households (but also larger buildings, public or private) are eligible, whether you are an owner or tenant. Up to 15% savings are announced. The box, if it is a personal instrument of regulation, is also a tool to limit tensions on the national network. “These microcuts do not affect comfort in any way,” underlines François Aramburu, head of regional partnerships at Voltalis. “The user always has control and can suspend the activity of the boxes whenever he wants. »
