Senegal finishes in 1st place in the general ranking

It was this Sunday, November 24, that the African Judo Cup Dakar 2024 concluded at the Diamiadio exhibition center. As host country, Senegal finished at the top of the general ranking.

The ninth edition of the Dakar Open, the last competition of the African Judo Union (UAJ) for the 2024 season, was a considerable success. The event, which took place at the Diamniadio exhibition center, was also a test for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, since the judo competition will take place in the same hall. In terms of overall ranking, Senegal leads, followed by Cameroon and Angola.

During this tournament, the Senegalese Judo Federation awarded prizes to personalities such as Shadrack Maluki, president of the UAJ, Eston Pridgeon, secretary general of the UAJ, Alain Kingue, chief sports director of the UAJ, Ababacar Ngom, UAJ Chief Director of Refereeing and Raguib Faissal, UAJ Chief Director of Education and Coaching, to name a few.
