Football: Laurent Bonadei, coach of Les Bleues before France-Spain in Nice

“The Spanish know that we have potential”

After the elimination of Les Bleues against Brazil during the quarter-finals of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Laurent Bonadei took over from his friend Hervé Renard (back at the head of the Saudi Arabian selection) of which he was the deputy head of the Bleues.
2025 looks dense: League of Nations between February and June, then Euro in Switzerland in July.
Deadlines that are being prepared now: the Blues are in Angers for a friendly match against Nigeria this last week of November. They will then receive theSpain in Nice on Tuesday December 3.

Having passed through Nice twice (2003/2006 then 2015/2019 in training), the new coach of the Bleues is delighted with this match in Nice in more than one way.
In his staff two former Nice players; Thomas Sammut, mental trainer (a first in the staff of a French selection at the FFF) and Lionel Letizi, ex OGC Nice goalkeeper (1992/1996 then 2007/2011).
The Nice, assistant in charge of professional goalkeepers at the end of his playing career then General trainer of the training center goalkeepers since 2020 was at the end of his contract with the Aiglons since the summer of 2024. “He's someone I appreciate on a human level AND for his skills, I'm delighted that he's joining us.”

Thus the French coach counts on the support from the Nice public, “an audience that I really like (…) which has a strong identity”
Who could be won over by the game and the state of mind of the French women. “These girls deserve to be supported. They give everything on the pitch. Like the GYM.”
