Volunteers of the Saint-Pierre d'Entremont illuminations committee (Orne) installed Christmas lights in the town, Saturday November 16, 2024.

Aged from 13 to 80 years old, fifteen volunteers came to help decorate the village. The association, which has existed for more than 20 years, has 30 volunteers in total.

New things to admire after dark

The first illumination will begin on December 1st, until Saturday January 4th. During this period, new things can be admired at nightfall: two reindeer and a wooden sleigh made by Nathalie Aunay, territorial agent specializing in the village school.

Preparation began in October, under the leadership of Ludwig Lefèbvre, president since 2015. An installation in good humorunder the sun.

It's nice, there are all ages. We are a good team with members from all walks of life.

This year, there is a newcomer to the team, of English origin, and new strong hands are always welcome.

Other activities in the village

Moreover, the Christmas market of Saint-Pierre will take place on Sunday 1is December, inside and outside Bromley Hall. Free carriage rides will be offered from 2 p.m. On site, children will be able to meet Santa Claus from 4 p.m.

The team thanks the town hall as well as the department for the various subsidies: these made it possible to purchase low consumption garlands as well as a barnum which will be used for the Christmas market.

The help was also valuable from Florian Lecleuziat, farmer who donates straw for the crèche (in front of the church), Didier Onfray, who lends his aerial platform tractor to hang the illuminations, and Nathalie Aunay for the new items.
