Perrine Roger, based in Ispagnac, created her brand, Ousta Pérelle, in March 2024. A brand of healthy, ethical, gourmet spreads, made in and compatible with sports nutrition. Compatible, above all, with the lifestyle and personal history of the designer.

Behind Ousta Pérelle, there is Perrine Roger, based in Ispagnac. Since March 2024, it has been marketing its healthy, ethical spreads made in France.

After fifteen years spent in the local civil service and having experienced painful events which instilled in her the desire to consume better, Perrine Roger decided to change her life. Having grown up between the north of France and Lozère, she settled permanently, in July 2022, in the Pays des Sources.

Director of a leisure center

After studying in the north of France and while working at the Université Club, she felt the need for a change of environment after the close deaths of two of her loved ones. Thus, she found herself at the University Club, as a sports presenter.

She then worked at the town hall of Poussan and then for a few years in Lézignan-la-Cèbe, where she became director of a leisure center. Eventually, it no longer nourished her. She ended up resigning from the territorial civil service in August 2020, after a “generally fed up”with the desire to change his life. “I wanted to create something for myself, she explains. I worked on my introspection with the help of Pôle emploi (now France Travail)for a little while.”

Get started

“I ended up having a flash of the fact that I have enjoyed making transformations for years. I have been making my own spread for over fifteen years, my compotes, my bread, snacks for my daughter… she adds. Since I was 20, I have asked my grandmother for advice on knitting, for example. I also had the attraction of picking my own fruit to process it.” The founder of Ousta Pérelle embodies the values ​​of her brand.

This is how she discovered and completed a short training course to run a cannery business in . In August 2022, she began training on supporting the creation of businesses with an ethical and ecological vocation, in which she “launched fully” until December 2023.

The self-employed woman has been with the RSA for four years. It also registered, after finally being registered in March 2024, with MiiMOSA, a platform dedicated to crowdfunding projects. She raised €6,000 and additional visibility. With France Active, she also benefited from an honorary loan, at zero interest over five years, which allowed her to get started.

2024, the test year

For her first year as a self-employed person, Perrine Roger first chose the sporting public by going to different Lozère trails to sell her products. Soon, she should collaborate with a CrossFit gym® in . This summer, she went to markets. It also has a few resellers such as a butcher's shop in Florac or Hyper U in Mende.

Recently, she went to the Made in France trade fair in . An enriching experience although organized in haste, and from which she hopes to have great results. “I said to myself that I had to do it. It’s a good showcase. It allowed me to see a little bigger”she elaborates. And why not return there in a year, with a company that has grown…

The products

“I wanted something of high quality, with minimal processing. I chose hazelnut oil, which is not cheap but which is renowned for its nutritional values. So I only have three ingredients in my dough: hazelnut, hazelnut oil, and chocolate”explains Perrine Roger. All its producers are French.

A brand driven by its personal history

“I would like us to have more choice in eating well. I am aware that it costs more… But I don't want us to have to experience certain pain because we do anything with our cultures and we only think about profit, she lamented. What I experienced was what really made me turn towards naturopathy, the connection to nature, the awareness of what we eat. The circle is closed.”

For 2025, Perrine Roger is thinking about a mixed recipe with nuts as well as the design of almond butter. The idea of ​​a commercial site is also in the back of his mind. A website is already available.
