The final results are now known for the first round of the legislative elections, in the 4th constituency of the Pyrenees-Atlantiques (the Basque-Béarnaise). The candidate of the New Popular Front, Iñaki Echaniz, arrive en tête, with 38.01% of the votes. In second position, Sylviane Lopez (National Rally) won 25.62% of the votes. In third place, the presidential majority with Jean Lassalle (Let’s resist!), won 18.05% of the votes. They can all hold on for a triangular in the second round.

The 4th constituency of Pyrénées-Atlantiques is one of the largest in France. Oloron and Hasparren are its main municipalities. It encompasses the entire Basque and Béarnese mountains. 80,683 voters are registered in this constituency and 73% voted this Sunday in this constituency.

A Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port , Iñaki Echaniz (Socialist Party-NFP) comes first with 340 votes. He is followed by Beñat Cachenaut (Les Républicains) with 179 votes. Then, Sylviane Lopez (National Rally) received 136 votes, Jean Lassalle (Let’s resist!) with 118 votes and Gracianne Mirande-Bec (Basque Nationalist Party) with 30 votes.
