In his youth, Jean Dujardin would probably not have imagined such a career. However, at 52 years old, he has accumulated cinematic successes. Films like Brice de Nice, On the black paths, J'accuse, Les Infidèles, OSS 117et Lucky Luke have always attracted the French public. His career took a major turn in 2012 when he won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in The Artist, alongside Bérénice Bejothus marking a consecration.
Jean Dujardin directly addresses the subject of drugs
In the world of cinema, success can sometimes be difficult to manage, and it is not uncommon for some actors to find themselves dealing with drug problems. However, Jean Dujardin is not intimidated by this subject. During an interview last year with Paris Match, the husband of Nathalie Péchalat claimed that he had never used drugs, especially cocaine.
“Never, no. I know how to raise my elbow and I've had my share of evenings where I saw my friends fall, where I fell myself, but never on coke”he declared. “When I'm partying and it's 4 a.m., I come home and have as much pleasure going to bed as getting up. What I love most of all is holding on to my life , maintain control, preserve family and professional balance.
Jean Dujardin: “I have never taken a line of coke”
This was not the first time that Jean Dujardin addressed this subject. During an interview on Europe 1 in 2014, the actor had already stated that he was not interested in this substance with its harmful effects. “I'm very calm about that, I have no problem responding. I've never taken a line of coke. So, I know that it makes a lot of guys laugh and a lot of bad language. I don't have no need to swear it on my children's heads I've never taken a line of coke because I don't need it, because my mother doesn't want it.. This should silence the critics and gives him something in common with Omar Sy.
The actor admits his penchant for something else
If Jean Dujardin proclaimed loud and clear that he had never touched drugs, the actor still allows himself something else. “I like going out and drinking”he admitted during this same interview.
Then explain: “Culturally, it's very French, we like doing that. Plus, I'm happy with wine. That's more than enough for me. There are 4 boys in the family, I was raised by my parents as well as by my brothers . These are not guys who needed that. I kept this thing. I don't need to have any other artificial paradises.. Obviously consume in moderation.
