A starter like his compatriot Rafik Belghali in the Pro League (D1 Belgium), Ahmed Touba confirms his very good debut in Maline by scoring, for the second time this season, in his team’s 3-0 victory against Beerschot.
The Algerian international, also very good defensively throughout the match, opened the scoring just before the end of the first period by finding himself on the receiving end of a free kick. Touba’s deflection, very intelligent and ideally placed, allowed him to score the only goal of the first period.
Touba’s goal against Beerschot:
In the second period, Mechelen continued their domination of this match by scoring two goals to conclude their victory, first with striker Benito Raman in the 71st then Pflücke with a magnificent free kick in the 92nd minute.
Thanks to this victory, Mechelen moves up to 4th place in the general classification and continues its good first part of the season. Touba played the entire match while Belghali, also diligent, gave up his place in the 70th minute.
