Morocco’s solidarity testifies to the spirit of cooperation linking the two countries, according to Ms. Benyaich – Today Morocco

The Moroccan Ambassador to Spain, Mrs. Karima Benyaich, underlined, Friday in Valencia, that the solidarity of the Kingdom towards Spain, following the floods which affected the Iberian neighbor, testifies to the spirit of cooperation which characterizes the links between Rabat and Madrid.

During a visit to the accommodation center for Moroccan teams deployed to support relief efforts in areas affected by recent floods in Spain, Ms. Benyaich affirmed that this mobilization illustrates the clear will of the Kingdom, in accordance with the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to come to the aid of the victims to deal with this tragedy.

The Moroccan diplomat, who was accompanied by the Consul General of Morocco in Valencia, Said Drissi El Bouzaidi, also emphasized the strategic and solid nature of the relations uniting Morocco and Spain, based on mutual respect, friendship and solidarity.

She also praised the exemplary involvement of the Moroccan community in Spain, which embodies the values ​​of mutual aid and solidarity deeply anchored in Moroccan culture. For her part, the undersecretary of the Spanish Ministry of the Interior, Susana Crisóstomo Sanz, praised the professionalism of the Moroccan teams who contributed to the relief efforts following the floods, while paying tribute to their commitment.

“Morocco was the first to respond to Spain’s call,” she recalled, stressing that the contribution of the Moroccan teams was “essential” and that the Spaniards will always remain grateful to Morocco.

The delegate of the Valencia government, Pilar Bernabé, for her part, expressed, on behalf of the inhabitants of the region, her thanks to Morocco for its solidarity and fraternity which are reflected in the action of the Moroccan teams.

To highlight this exceptional solidarity, a video showing the efforts of Moroccan teams was broadcast, thus strengthening the visibility of their contribution to relief and rehabilitation operations.

Taking part in this event, preceded by a meeting between Ms. Benyaich and more than 40 Moroccan volunteers, were the Director General of Spanish Civil Protection, Virginia Barcones, representatives of the Valencia regional council and other local officials.
