Without a license, positive for alcohol and drugs, a man hits a 13-year-old boy in Maisons-Alfort

A teenager, aged 13, was struck this Friday, November 22, on a pedestrian crossing in Maisons-Alfort. The driver, who fled, was taken into custody and tested for lack of license and positive for alcohol and drugs.

A 13-year-old teenager was mowed down by a man on a scooter this Friday, November 22, while he was crossing a pedestrian crossing in the town of Maisons-Alfort, BFMTV learned, confirming information from Le Parisien.

It was 6:55 p.m. when the schoolboy decided to cross a pedestrian crossing at the corner of Rue Paul Vailland Couturier and Avenue Professor Cadiot.

While he was on the road, a two-wheeler hit him. The driver fled and dragged the victim for around fifteen meters.

Already known for driving without a license

Thanks to his license plate, the police quickly identified him and went to his home. At 7:45 p.m., the driver was taken into custody for aggravated unintentional injuries.

After several checks, the man tested positive for alcohol and drugs and lacked a license and insurance.

In addition to these aggravating circumstances, this 36-year-old driver is well known to the police and already convicted of driving without a license.

The victim still in serious condition

The victim is still in serious condition this Sunday and is hospitalized at Necker hospital in Paris. She suffered a head injury and several leg fractures.

The driver's custody must end this Sunday evening after which he must be presented to a judge.
