20.2°C recorded in Côtes-d’Armor, while three days ago it was snowing…

Thursday November 21, 2024, Côtes-d'Armor was placed by Météo France on orange alert for snowfall and ice. And, indeed, in the early morning, a thin layer of snow covered part of the department, with temperatures close to 0°C. A somewhat early phenomenon for the season which allowed gloves, hats, scarves and down jackets to be taken out of the wardrobes.

20°C in Paimpol, 19°C in Perros-Guirec…

Three days later, you can put them back in the cupboard, the weather has completely changed.

This Sunday, November 24, in the morning, temperatures exceeded 15°C almost everywhere in the territory, as confirmed by Costa Rican meteorologist Stéven Tual, on his X account.

20.6°C in Pommerit-Jaudy, 20.2 in Paimpol, 19.8 in Bréhat, 18 in Saint-Brieuc… Spring values! But how can we explain this warm spell? It comes from the wind, a strong, dry and hot south wind. These temperatures are expected to cool off in the early evening with rain. Monday morning, autumn will return with an average of 10-11°C forecast.
