For his first visit to Plémet, the prefect was accompanied by David Cochu, sub-prefect and secretary general of the prefecture; Jean-Pascal Lebreton, deputy departmental director of territories and the sea, and Pierre Cieren, director of relations with local authorities.
After the reception at the town hall, the prefect visited the nursery school of the Simone-Veil school group which is due to be destroyed when the new building to house the children is built. “Our visitors were able to see the problems of the current school with its leaks from the roof, among other things. They admitted that the renovation would have been complicated with excessive cost. And the children would have had to be rehoused,” explained the mayor.
“Impressed” by the RN164 construction site
This visit also allowed the prefect to see on site the work on the rainwater networks, including that of rue des Fraîches which is nearing completion. “All the rainwater network and development work cost €3.50 million, knowing that Loudéac Communauté has also invested a lot in the municipality for the sanitation network,” underlined Chantal Névo.
After visiting the site of the future subdivision of La Croix-Hyava, the prefect visited the doubling work on the RN164 at the level of the road which joins the new La Poterie bridge. This should be put into service in December. “I am impressed by the importance of this project, which is essential for opening up Central Brittany,” concluded the new prefect.
