Yep, the website which lists all local events is now two years old. And to celebrate its anniversary, its creator, the former mayor of Lagny-sur-Marne, Patrice Pagny, decided to make a real application.
Three local intermunicipalities
“It can be downloaded from the two main stores, Apple and Android,” he announces with satisfaction. Alongside Elise Munoz, the project manager, Patrice Pagny is pleased with the evolution of her core project. Yep is now active as far as Corsica, where the former mayor has his habits.
More locally, it covers three towns et more than forty cities. First its cradle, Marne and Gondoire, i.e. twenty towns around Lagny-sur-Marne, but also Paris-Vallée de la Marne, i.e. twelve towns around Chelles and finally Val d'Europe, the last intercommunity to have joined the site , since this summer.
600 events over the coming months
The objective of the site, however, has not changed: “We reference all local events,” explains Patrice Pagny. You don't know what to do this evening or this weekend, just log in, select your city and the date to find all the events listed.
We have around 600 events listed for the coming months.
“Yep is always more complete”continues Patrice Pagny. “If you compare a town hall site and Ouaip, the difference is obvious. »
The recipe for this completeness? Field work and word of mouth. Yep does not want to list only institutional events but also all those of associations and other local groups. Quite a challenge.
Having the sponsorship of cities and tourist offices is essential. But Yep will also reference what cities don't have in their agendas. Even the painting enthusiast who has an exhibition in his garden!
All types of events
If the final goal is to expand geographically, perhaps one day covering all of France, the duo has therefore refocused their activity. “The important thing is that the organizers take the reflex to come and provide their own news,” explains Élise Munoz. It's free and we can support them if they are not comfortable with digital technology. We made sure that it was as simple as possible but often, associations do not have a person dedicated to communication. That’s what we’re here for,” she continues.
“You can find everything there, even what you’re not looking for”
The events of bookstoresspecial evenings of cinemasTHE concerts independent rooms, entertainment Cities or associations… Yep brings everything together, in one place. And that’s what makes it strong, assures Patrice Pagny: “You can find everything there, even what you’re not looking for,” he says. “Recently, I went online, I discovered that there was Jeanne Added in concert that same evening. I clicked on the link provided to book and I loved it! That’s the magic of Yep. »
And to those who see the site, and now the application, as competition, he assures: “People will read the information on Ouaip, but then, when they want more information, when they want to book, they arrive on the organizer's website. We make them visible to a wider audience.”
Through the app, Ouaip hopes to attract more organizers and more users. “It’s more practical. Before, with a fairly simple manipulation you could have the web-app on your phone, but people are more comfortable with an application,” concedes Patrice Pagny. Of which act. The app has already been downloaded by a thousand people.
