Nearly 200 winners were present this Thursday at the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of for the presentation of diplomas and professional certifications for the 2023-2024 class.

The Chamber of Trades and Crafts (CMA) of Gard offers initial training to train young people in craft professions, and continuing training for professionals who wish to acquire new skills. “Throughout his career, a craftsman can train to complete his initial training. It’s important because it allows you to perfect your practices and progress in your profession,” supports Xavier Perret, president of the CMA du Gard. Training in craft trades is varied and covers many fields, including jewelry, butchery, hairdressing, electricity and dental prosthetics.

For the 2023-2024 class, more than 80% of the 265 students passed their end-of-course exams. This Thursday, November 21, nearly 150 graduates and their families were present for the graduation ceremony. The winners also received gold medals in reference to the Olympic Games, in order to immortalize this global competition. A convivial moment around a cocktail dinner and a friendly drink was organized following the ceremony. “We are very happy to experience this moment surrounded by our loved ones and to finally be able to launch into working life”confides a group of young graduates.

“The title of artisan is not just a common name. It is a distinction that carries a rich and precise meaning, the recognition of a unique way of living, producing and doing business, based on know-how, which you now carry. It is therefore up to you, generation of graduates, to take up this torch and like me, be proud to be”, concludes Xavier Perret. This event was a highlight for the winners, the apprenticeship instructors and the teaching teams.
