The town hall of Durtal (Maine-et-Loire) is launching online sales. Indeed, during the municipal council meeting of October 8, the elected officials unanimously adopted membership of the
Agorastore online sales platform.
This allows second-hand goods from town halls, public organizations and large companies to be auctioned. The objective of this platform is to resell goods in a circular economy and transparency approach.
“As part of the renovation of a building, we are obliged to give a second life to the materials and equipment that made up the premises,” says Pascal Henry, Deputy Director of Technical Services at Durtal. To facilitate this handover, we opted for the system developed by Agorastore. »
Durtal sells these second-hand goods at auction
On the website, we can already see that the Durtal town hall has put some properties online. These come from the former Lidl, location of the future third place.
We can find a cold room from 500€a safe for €300, or even a ceramic sink with suspended toilet and its frame for €200 minimum.
“We have already sold several things including swerves and armed fire taps. We have a button for a cold room. At first glance, this online sales system works well,” confides Pascal Henry.
Adjust the right price
If Agorastore is mainly used by communities and municipalitieseveryone can put themselves in the shoes of the buyer or seller.
To set the starting price, “you have to know not to bet too high and instead align yourself with the second-hand market price”. “Obviously, the starting price varies depending on the condition of the property. If the cold room is in good condition with a functional motor checked by an expert, we will be able to increase the starting price. You have to know how to gauge the property carefully, without forgetting that you are on the second-hand market. Both parties must be winners,” insists the Deputy Director of Technical Services at Durtal.
A share goes to Agorastore
Convinced by the system, the municipality of Durtal should continue to use it as soon as it has the opportunity.
“We are not bound by any contract with the company. We post ads whenever we want. Shortly, we should put other properties on the site to give them a second life. »
Please note that for each good sold, 15% of the sale price goes to Agorastore.
