Saturday November 16, a mother and her two sons died after being hit on the A26, near Arras. The driver who caused the accident, seriously injured, was driving under the influence of drugs.
A week after an accident which cost the life of a family on the A26, The Voice of the North has learned that the driver responsible for the accident has been remanded in custody. According to the Arras public prosecutor's office, the motorist whose vital prognosis was at risk for a while is a 52-year-old Maltese national.
At the end of his police custody, the accused was presented to an investigating judge and indicted for involuntary manslaughter aggravated by two circumstances: driving under drugs and deliberate breach of safety rules.
