“Let us not be indifferent to the difference and let’s share it.”

This is the motto of Guy Dumont, resident of Groslay (Val-d'Oise) and founder of the Monsieur Nez Rouge association, who received a special prize from the civics and citizenship jury, during the general assembly of the Val-d'Oise section of the National Order of Merit.

Merit, courage and tenacity

Founded in 2006, theassociation Valdoisienne carries out actions to raise funds to help the children suffering from a disease orphan.

The organization was able to help several non-governmental organizations (NGOs), more than 30 associations of sick scattered all over the world and to more than 1,000 children affected by different maladies.

His solidarity is measured neither in time nor in distance.

Aubin is one of these children patients that Guy took under his wing.

At the age of 11, he suffered from disease orphan genetics.

Her mother, Camille, founded the association “Les amis d’Aubin” to try to finance a vehicle adapted to handicap of his son.

The family met Guy in the spring of 2024.

Following numerous contacts with the latter and various calls for donations, they were able to buy the car in July.

Aubin is the only one in the world to have this disease since all the other children died at birth as a result of it. He's a survivor.

Mathilde, member for 13 years

Mr. Red Nose was modest during his speechto congratulate one of its first ambassadors, Mathilde Dayeux.

It was at the age of 10 that she got involved in this association to “offer a little dream to sick children,” he emphasizes.

She received the same award for her Walk of Hope.

Set up in the name of our association to raise funds, this walk generated more than 15,000 euros to finance a genetic research laboratory, with a view to finding a cure to save all children suffering from infantile neuroaxonal dystrophy (IND).

Guy Dumont does not lose hope that one day, “these maladies few come out of the silence where they are swallowed up in the depths of the abyss, and above all so that we can hear and listen to the calls of distress launched by their loved ones.
