In the multipurpose room of Biars-sur-Cère and in front of the building on each side of the road, the first Christmas market in the area was held on Sunday, November 17, at the initiative of the Friends of the School association. from Biars. Many exhibitors were present, many amateurs and volunteers from associations and also some professionals.
Outside, some very courageous exhibitors had to face a persistent drizzle, which was hardly encouraging! But inside, it was a riot of baby items, accessories and knitted clothes to spend the winter warm, decorative objects to decorate a tree or a festive table, handcrafted jewelry , charming inventive objects for low-cost gifts, patterns cut out of wood and numerous jewels or objects to personalize on site… Santa even came at the beginning of the afternoon to welcome the toddlers and pose for photo shoots!
At the bar counter, parents from the association offered hot drinks, pancakes, popcorn and other “homemade” treats, outside other parents sold sausages and fries, and next to it a fishing stand with ducks was a great success with the youngest.
All profits from this day will be dedicated to extracurricular activities for local schoolchildren! As could be expected, this event had many visitors despite a gray day, unfortunately the first after a week that was too spring-like.
