Attics are treasure nests. Some hope to come across a draft of Picasso, an unfinished Soulages or an unknown Matisse. With, beyond the beautiful story to tell, a jackpot at stake. But in the Gersit is not on a master's canvas that a family fell emptying a house…
This house belonged to a person who died. And the Gers family got it back, hoping transform it into a guest room. Where is it located? The family, contacted by Occitanie Newsdid not wish to communicate the location. Nor reveal his identity. It would be on Mirande’s side…
In an office
It was a girl of around ten who made the discovery in an office. Hundreds of Pokémon cards. Like all children, she immediately… played. It was her big sister, aged around twenty, let's call her “Pauline”, who realized that it was maybe a gold mine.
Cards from the 1990s
After asking collectors, she had to tell her sister to put the cards away. Because they have unexpected value. Some reached 150 euros each. Cards from the 1990s, not seen for a long time in stores, in playgrounds and at garage sales. And there were plus 300… All in good condition, protected in special folders.
Pay for renovation work with Pokémon cards
Some of the cards quickly found buyers among connoisseurs. For others, whose value varies between 1 and 100 euros, they find buyers particularly through social networks. “We have interested parties, because these are cards that are no longer sold,” assures Pauline to Occitanie News.
“We sell them to finance a small part of our work,” rejoices Pauline. His little sister will be able to console herself. She was able to keep the most recent cards.
