In addition to municipal budgets and subsidies, Nogent citizens contributed actively financially to the project. 50,000 francs were thus collected through cavalcade raffles, donations following weddings and simple donations.
Fourteen projects responded to the call for tenders then five with models, plans… In the end, the project by Pierre Traverse from Paris bearing the name “souvenir” was selected.
