Located in the Vitry-Marolles business area, near the Haffner Energy headquarters, the site is presented as a “showcase of the company’s know-how”. The site is equipped with a patented biomass thermolysis module for the production of “mobility quality hydrogen”. Capable of operating up to 8,000 hours per year, the installation will be able to produce up to 15 kg of hydrogen per hour, or 120 tonnes annually.
« This site probably represents the first unit in the world for the continuous production of hydrogen from solid biomass. “, said Philippe Haffner, CEO and co-founder of the company.
Labeled “France 2030” and “Territories of Industry”, the center has benefited from public funding exceeding one million euros. Among them, 500,000 euros come from the France 2030 program co-financed by the State and the Grand Est Region, and 400,000 euros from the “Green Fund”.
Beyond the production of hydrogen, the site also highlights technological solutions such as the Gasiliner, equipment capable of gasifying biocarbon to increase the production of syngas.
