A particularly simple procedure

In a message published on social networks, the police describe the modus operandi of these scammers: “The scammers claim to have surplus bitumen from a completed project, which they offer to install at a very attractive price . »

The work, although seemingly inexpensive, quickly turns out to be disappointing: “Once the work is carried out, the victims discover that the bitumen is of poor quality or applied in an unprofessional manner. In some cases, the tar can even deteriorate within a few days. »

In the event of work, the gendarmerie advises keeping proof of its completion. These may include photos of workers at work or of the work, testimonials, or even registration numbers.
