A transfer worth 50 million euros

“They were first oriented towards secondary processing, namely primary and secondary cutting, dynamic storage, order preparation and laundries,” lists the director since 2019, Sébastien Berton. “The cold sector too, and more recently the opening of a new parts workshop. »

In other words, a service where filet mignon, roasts and other escalopes are packaged in sealed trays before being sold in the self-service sections of Intermarché and Netto.

Structuring projects “conducted with our partners”, insists the industrialist, which make Josselin “a site of reference in the processing of pork butchers. » A “cube in the sector” to use the words of the MP, Paul Molac.

A change carried out without ever deviating from its line of conduct: the factory continues to be 100% supplied with pigs of Breton origin. “We are nothing without agricultural world», Supported Patrick Faure, general manager of the fresh pork & charcuterie business unit at Agromousquetaires.

Recruitment versus housing

His Achilles heel remains recruitment. But the company which has pulled out all the stops in terms of ergonomics and training at all levels has achieved a good score: 60 new employeesjoined the ranks of JPA in 2024.

His secret? “Society does not live in isolation,” answers Joseph Seveno.

A feeling shared by the mayor in office, Nicolas Jagoudet: “We regularly discuss their position in the landscape. » And here and there, bridges are created… “We are planning 215 additional housing units in the new PLU,” announces someone who knows how much housing can be an asset for JPA…
