The Caetano storm did not get the better of it: the world mogette grilled championship, third edition, did indeed take place on November 21, 2024.
Initially planned for the Arago market, the competition took place in Havre d'Olonne, due to weather conditions.
The evening was organized by the traders' association Cap Aragoas part of Beaujolais Nouveau.
Now with a nice reputation, it has enjoyed great public success.
24 competitors had registered for this formidable competition consisting of to swallow as quickly as possible a one meter slice of grilled mogettes.
The deputy mayor of Sables-d'Olonne in charge of commerce, Jean-Eudes Casses, outgoing world champion, came to put his title on the line. And he was unable to achieve the double.
In four minutes!
The new world champion of grilled mogette eaters is named Thomas Chollet. He devoured his toast four minutesahead of Erwan Pérard (5'58) and Fred Le Boyau (6'06).
The competition was marked by five retirements.
It took 28 minutes to Maëlle, last in the ranking, to (courageously) finish her toast:

It's another great evening to be credited to Cap Arago. Next event of the merchants association: the feet in the snow evening with DJ on December 13.
