In Calvados, two women found lifeless, possibly poisoned by carbon monoxide

Two women died in the center of Ussy, a village of just over 800 people in Calvados, near Falaise, Friday November 22, 2024, in the afternoon. Without news of her mother and aunt, who live in the same home, a woman went to their home on Friday around 4 p.m. She discovered the two residents lifeless. They were aged 72 and 85.

Possible carbon monoxide poisoning

According to the first elements collected by the gendarmes on site, they could have succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning. Additional heating was found on site while part of the town was without electricity since Thursday, November 21. However, analyzes are underway to confirm the cause of death.
