The best film prize awarded to Benoît Marcel for “À l’abri”

The third edition of the 48 Hour Film Project La Réunion, organized by the Webcup association, ended Thursday evening in a festive and friendly atmosphere at the Cinépalmes in Sainte-Marie. More than 350 spectators attended the screening of 17 short films produced in just 48 hours by local teams brimming with creativity.

The big winner of this edition is Benoît Marcel with his film “À l'abri”, which won over the jury and won the prestigious Best Film prize. This victory will allow him to represent not only nationally during the French final of the competition but also internationally, at the Filmapalooza 2025 festival, which will be held in Seattle, and to have a chance to screen his work at the famous Short Corner of the 2025 Film Festival.
