Since October 7, 2024, the urban community of Country of Fontainebleau (CAPF) has left its headquarters in the city center of Fontainebleau (Seine-et-Marne), to settle at 80, avenue de Valvins, in Samois-sur-Seine.

This move is also part of the Pays de Fontainebleau's desire to respond to future challenges. Users will benefit from hotlines for programs such as Rénov', Adil (Departmental Housing Information Agency) and CAUE (Architectural, Urban Planning and Environmental Councils), where they will be able to obtain advice on renovation and town planning. In addition, community council sessions will be held in these new premises, thus promoting better interaction between elected officials and citizens.

“This move marks a new stage in the development dynamics of the Pays de Fontainebleau,” confides Pascal Gouhoury, the president of the agglomeration. It demonstrates our commitment to anticipating future needs while improving services for our residents, by strengthening the efficiency of our services. »

What about the former headquarters?

During the transition period, to remain in contact with those administered, administrative services operated on a reduced basis, but essential missions were maintained. One month after the move, the services have now established themselves and are now fully operational.

Furthermore, the agglomeration will also make substantial savings since the parking lot under construction at the former headquarters weighed heavily on the agglomeration's annual operating budget. On the new site, all services will be brought together. The CAPF remains the owner of the former headquarters, located rue du Château, and will rent it out and thus receive additional rent.
