The Gard PCF is organizing a day on Saturday November 23 in the Gallician municipal hall to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the newspaper l'Humanité. Reception from 10 a.m. A debate will then be moderated at 10:30 a.m. by Grégory Marion, journalist at Humanity and by Muriel Blachère, communications manager for the PCF du Gard. A meal will follow at 12:30 p.m. (€15), then a concert from 2 p.m. with the duo Embellie and a poetry reading.
“Unlike other written press titles backed by large industrial groups, powerful banking groups, or billionaires, the strength of this newspaper is you, its readers and friends. The battle of ideas is a considerable issue and a ground for political struggle”, estimates the PCF of Gard before continuing: “The Arnauds, Lagardère, Bolloré, Saada are owners of war machines in the service of capitalism. We are in the middle of an ideological war, they influence the media landscape and bombard brains. Today more than ever we need L'Humanité, the newspaper created by Jean Jaurès!”
Reservation with the PCF du Gard.
