Part of and Aisne woke up under a white blanket this Friday, November 22, 2024. Snow fell and is still falling in certain places in the two departments. Evolution of the situation, traffic difficulties… We take stock.

In the Marne

In its latest forecasts, Météo has placed the Marne department on yellow “snow and ice” vigilance for the entire day of Friday November 22, 2024 as well as the morning of Saturday November 23. The meteorological institute mentions a layer of 3 to 10 centimeters or even up to 15 centimeters locally in the south of the department.

A few flakes are announced in the morning in and its surroundings (Fismes), in Châtillon-sur-Marne, Suippes, in Vitryat and Sézannais. There should be no snow in the afternoon.

In terms of traffic, initially at dawn, the Department reported several traffic difficulties on the Marne roads. Around Reims, be careful if you are traveling on the RD151 towards Witry-lès-Reims, the RD9 towards Aÿ-Champagne, the RD944 and the RD966 towards Aisne, the RD951 towards Épernay and the RD980 towards the Ardennes.

For the Sparnacien, the departmental road towards Oiry is experiencing some traffic difficulties as is the RD40A towards Chouilly and the RD980 towards Dormans.

In Châlonnais, be careful if you are traveling on the RD933 towards Montmirail. For Sézannais, station at the RD373 between Sézanne and Montmirail and the RD951 between Aube and the RN4.

In Aisne

For Aisne, the yellow snow-ice alert will no longer be in effect from 10 a.m. this Thursday. A few snowflakes are expected this morning towards Tergnier and in the south of the department. The weather will then change in the afternoon.

Bison Futé warns of some traffic difficulties on certain major routes, such as the RN2 between and Villers-Cotterêts and the RN31 between and Reims.
