Storm Caetano left traces of its passage, Thursday afternoon, in Loire-Atlantique and Vendée. If the Cheviré, Saint-Nazaire and Noirmoutier bridges have reopened to trafficat the end of the day, there are still secondary roads where traffic is difficult. Especially since temperatures dropped suddenly last night, with frost in places and a significant risk of icy conditions.
Traffic still disrupted on the rails
On the SNCF network, TGV traffic has resumed on the Nantes-Angers-Paris axis. On the other hand, TER traffic is still at a standstill on several lines in the South Loire, notably between Nantes and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, Nantes-Pornic, on the axis between the Cité des ducs and La Roche-sur-Yon and on the Nantes-Châteaubriant line. The resumption of traffic is not expected before midday, until the SNCF technical teams manage to repair the multiple damaged catenaries.
In terms of power cuts, hundreds of households still have to cope without this Friday morning. Some 180 Enedis teams spent the night on the bridge, in Loire-Atlantique and Vendée to reconnect the more than 45,000 homes deprived of power since yesterday afternoon. A new complete update of the situation must be made by Enedis, around 8 a.m. this Friday.
Firefighters overwhelmed by calls

One thousand seven hundred and seventy-three calls were received between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. These resulted in 519 interventions, directly linked to the meteorological event.
