It is one of the Parisian places the most essential. Between its golden balconies, its red velvet seats and its performances that are both classic and innovative, the Opéra-Comique represents the quintessence elegance, prestige and quality live performance offered in Paris. For more than 300 years, near the Boulevard desItaliens, the Favart roomwhose architecture is characteristic of 19th century French theaters, takes the Parisian public to the heart of the greatest works opera. And since tradition and creation become one, classic works meet the most contemporary, to create a brilliant program eclecticism and richness. For this 2024/2025 season, the Opéra-Comique offers to (re)discover real opera monuments.

A crossing from the 18th to the 21st century
As with every season, the programming of the Opéra-Comique sets out to cover four centuries: from the baroque era to the present day. Like a real journey through time, the month of December will transport us to 1739 with The Feasts of Hebe of Jean-Philippe Rameau, from December 13 to 21. The famous composer will once again be in the spotlight from March 17 to 25, 2025, with Samson. It will then be Medea of Luigi Cherubini which will be in the spotlight from February 8 to 16, 2025. Christoph Willibald Gluck, Charles Gounod will also be highlighted with representations of their respective works, Sémiramis & Don Juan from May 24 to 28, and Faust from June 21 to July 1. In a more modern spirit, two operas created in 2024 will take place on the stages of the Opéra-Comique: The Sentinels by Clara Olivares and Chloé Lechat, from April 10 to 13, as well as The Grand Affabulation by Geoffroy Jourdain and Benjamin Lazar from May 10 to 16, 2025.

Enrich programming to promote transmission
The Opéra-Comique is also committed to to enrich the programming with events, masterclasses, concerts, recitals, evenings and meetings called Pleiades. These events invite the public to discover and delve deeper into each of the works on display. This 2024-2025 season is also punctuated by artistic performances created for young artists from the Académie de l'Opéra-Comique, or even moments of meetings between audiences and the artistic teams of certain operas on the occasion of a “After-show”. Young audiences are also invited to the Opéra-Comique to discover the lyrical repertoirethanks to participatory workshops accessible from 6 years old, allowing the youngest to take their first steps in the world of opera by discovering this unique place.
