Météo France has placed the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle on yellow “snow-ice” vigilance from this Thursday, November 21 until 10 a.m. tomorrow.
In its latest bulletin published this Thursday at 4 p.m., Météo France placed 54 departments (including the Vosges department) on orange alert for “snow-ice”. The departments of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Moselle and Meuse are affected by yellow vigilance.
In Meurthe-et-Moselle, snowfall is expected from this evening and overnight. According to forecasts, snow depth could reach up to 3 cm in the south of the department. Due to frosts forecast for the night of Thursday November 21 to Friday November 22, there will be a risk of icy conditions on Friday morning.
Françoise Souliman, prefect of Meurthe-et-Moselle, calls for the greatest caution and wishes to remind people of the behaviors to adopt in the face of ice, such as favoring public transport or finding out about traffic conditions on the Bison Futé site. or to respect the traffic restrictions and detours put in place.
