General Electric, Yara, Saulnier-Duval, Atos and EDF Cordemais, obviously. It was in front of the power plant slated to close in 2027 that CGT officials listed the sites affected by job cuts in recent weeks. 200 employees or retirees and activists gathered this Thursday, November 21, that's not a lot, given the tense situation in many sectors. “Our morale is all down,” said sincerely Céline Plagne, the representative of General Electric, who came from Montoir-de-Bretagne, where 140 job cuts are included in the social plan.

The speech was intended to unite: “We are used to fighting and we must stay united. » But the succession of bad news has also given way to a form of resignation. With “the fear of being taken very far from home by reclassification”, Cordemais employees also admit. While the job protection plan is underway, staff have gone on rotating strikes, “not to produce when we had to relaunch for export”.
