An investigation was opened after an 18-year-old young woman reported having been raped on Sunday November 17 late in the afternoon in Évry-Courcouronnes (Essonne). The Essonne interdepartmental judicial police service (SIPJ 91) was responsible for the investigation opened for “rape”, indicates a source close to the case, confirming information from the Parisian.
The events took place around 5:30 p.m. in the Village district. According to the victim's account, the attack occurred at the footbridge which spans Boulevard Decauville, near the neighborhood gymnasium. A man allegedly surprised her by grabbing her arm, before striking her several times, particularly in the side. The attacker then allegedly pushed the young woman to the ground and raped her before fleeing via the footbridge.
The victim, in a state of shock, found refuge in front of a pharmacy before contacting the police. The Évry municipal police officers intervened first, then the young woman was taken into care by the local police station. She was then taken to hospital.
On Sunday evening, the police carried out lengthy investigations at the scene, looking for traces and clues allowing the attacker to be identified.
