The former municipal workshops have an area of 6,826 m2. They were released in 2023 following the commissioning of the new municipal technical center located on rue du Pas Brédy. The municipality has no interest in keeping these buildings. The city is requesting their decommissioning and declassification from the public domain before putting them up for sale. A developer has come forward.
For the town planning assistant, the City remains entirely in control of the project
The City has drawn up specifications where there will be 50% open land, social housing and those accessible to property, a storm basin at the rear and the provision of a path towards rue de la Libération , a micro-nursery and no underground car parks. Hervé Camus of the opposition fears that the City will be dependent on the developer.
Why not entrust it to a social landlord? The Placis must be incorporated into this project. Sylvain Gat, deputy for urban planning, states that the City remains in full control of the project. There will also be some greening. Local residents will be informed. On the other hand, the Placis will be disconnected from the project. The opposition, who said they were not sufficiently informed, abstained.
