After blocking the Place de la Libération in Auch for more than a day, it is at the Saint-Cricq roundabout, at the entrance to the Gers prefecture, that the Gers Rural Coordination has been installed since this Wednesday, November 20. Angry farmers set up a filter dam.
There are around fifteen of them, since this Wednesday evening, sharing the different entrances to the Saint-Cricq roundabout in Auch. After blocking the Place de la Libération for more than a day, farmers from the Rural Coordination (CR) placed bales of straw and yellow flags at the entrance to the Gers prefecture. They decided to set up a filter dam.

This Thursday, November 21, after a night on site, the farmers continued their action: they let the cars circulate but controlled the heavy goods vehicles. “What are you carrying?”, ask the demonstrators with their CR32 flocked jackets, every time a truck arrives. If the products come from France, the vehicle can pass; if the goods are of foreign origin, drivers are asked to park in the customs area and must wait for some time.
The filter dam should continue this Thursday, with farmers coming to take over at the start of the morning. On the practical side, only the entrance to the RD924 from the roundabout is closed. On the other lanes, traffic is slowed down as you approach the roundabout but it is still possible to pass.
